EBITDA × multiple calculator

Enter annual EBITDA and your own multiple. Add debt and cash to see how they affect value for the owners.

No registration. Your calculation stays in your browser and you can save a summary.

Working with three financial statements?

Have a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow? Open the free financial-statement valuation model (Czech) to build your own five-year DCF scenario. This calculator’s inputs are not transferred.

Your figures

Enter amounts in whole units of the selected currency.

Changing this does not convert amounts.

Start with annual EBITDA and your own multiple. The result updates when an input changes.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, before adjustments. Use the last complete period.

Your assumption. For example, 5 means 5× EBITDA; it is not a recommended multiple.

Use a point or comma for decimals (5.15 or 5,15), and spaces for thousands (2 000 000).

Where do I find EBITDA?

Start with the income statement for the last complete period. EBITDA starts from earnings before interest and tax, with depreciation and amortisation added back. Check the relevant lines with your accountant; net profit or the bank balance alone is not EBITDA.

Do not know the figure yet? Leave it blank or explore the illustrative example below.

What if I do not know the multiple?

The tool does not contain current market multiples. Valuing a particular business requires researching comparable businesses or transactions and assessing their relevance. Size, growth, risk and transaction terms may differ.

You can leave the field blank. The illustrative example explains only the calculation; a consultation can address market comparisons.

Refine the calculation

Add debt and cash to calculate equity value

Deduct financial debt and other debt-like items from enterprise value; add cash above operating needs. Use one date and currency. Leave unknown fields blank; confirm zero only when known. This bridge does not calculate a contractual working-capital purchase-price adjustment.

Outstanding loans, overdrafts and bonds at one date.

Cash above normal operating needs. Exclude restricted funds.

For example, certain leases or deferred payments. Classification needs review.

Compare lower and higher multiples

Sensitivity shows the effect of changing your assumption. It is not a likely price range. Opening or closing this section does not change your inputs.

Your lower scenario, not a market estimate.

Your higher scenario should have its own rationale.

Assumptions and detail

The calculation uses your figures. Without adjustments it uses the original EBITDA. A specific valuation requires review of the selected multiple, financial records and debt classification.

Adjust EBITDA for exceptional items

Only adjustments meeting all four conditions enter the base. Other amounts remain separate. Ticking a box records your assessment; it is not independent verification.

Adjustment 1

Positive adds, negative deducts. Use the same currency as EBITDA.

Adjustment 2

Positive adds, negative deducts. Use the same currency as EBITDA.

Adjustment 3

Positive adds, negative deducts. Use the same currency as EBITDA.

Review calculation assumptions

These are starting assumptions, not verified facts. Untick any that does not apply; the affected result will not be calculated.

Add revenue and basic financial ratios

Use the same period and currency as EBITDA.

Actual expense, not an estimate from a base rate.

This is a business model sensitivity, not a price offer, certified appraisal or investment recommendation. It does not capture specific share rights, transaction costs or every purchase-price adjustment. It is not designed to value an individual house, land parcel or development project.

Optional: check a Czech company’s identity by company number

A company number is not required for the calculation. Lookup sends only that number directly to ARES. The record identifies the entity; it does not supply EBITDA, debt or a multiple, and does not change your financial inputs.

ORIGINATION DESK

Eight digits. The query goes from your browser straight to the register; it never reaches us.

Enter a company number to look up its identity. The calculation works without it.

SUBJECT RECORD

After lookup, this area shows the company identity and a link to the public source. The register does not establish sustainable EBITDA, debt or business value.
